Alumni Highlight: George Turner

My wife Loretta Putman Turner and I are both graduates of Arlington Baptist College (1986/1985). Loretta went to DBU and received her Master’s in Education. She is presently at Southside ISD as an Administrator in San Antonio Texas. While attending ABC, many times I went to the tea garden at night for some quiet time with the Lord. I would look over towards Fort Worth and see all the lights. I told the Lord that I envisioned being a part of a ministry to that many souls. At the time I asked God to allow me to pastor a church of 500. I have been a pastor to some small Baptist churches in Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Michigan & Texas over the past few decades. After getting my Masters from Liberty University the Lord opened more opportunities for ministry. Presently I am ministering as a Prison Unit Chaplain with TDCJ in Cotulla & Dilley Texas. My original assigned Prison was 600 inmates and then the Lord blessed me with a second prison. I now minister to over 2000 offenders. "Wow God answered my prayers & then some."
