Exciting things happening on the campus of ABU!

The Spring 2019 semester at Arlington Baptist University is going strong!

Our Lady Patriot Basketball team coached by Cliff McDaniel just won their 5th straight DII NCCAA championship title. The tournament was held at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. Our girls defeated No. 2 seed Pensacola Christian College for the championship game. Senior, Zayda Gonzales was named Tournament Most Outstanding Player.

ABU also participated in the ACCA where both our men and women’s basketball teams brought home a 1st place banner! So proud of our Patriots.

Our ABU Patriot Baseball is in full swing and half-way through their season. Make sure you check out their schedule and go watch our Patriots play. Home field is at QuickTrip Park in Grand Prairie.

Missions Emphasis week was so impactful as representatives from Manna Worldwide came and spoke to our students about the opportunities they can have in “rescuing children from the grip of poverty.”

The May Student Center (formerly known as the Student Union Building) is complete and the students are enjoying the benefits that it brings to the campus.

Arlington Baptist is excited about the men and women’s soccer program starting in fall 2019. Our men’s soccer coach is Shelby Sharp. Coach Sharpe is coming to ABU with over 24 years of soccer experience playing for The University of Texas Permian Basin and 2 years semi-professionally with the Midland Sockers. Our women’s coach is Alyssa Taramona. Coach Taramona comes with a soccer career at St. Mary’s University where she was an All-Heartland Conference goalkeeper. She has also coached 3 years at St. Mary’s University. ABU looks forward to the success of these 2 new programs.

Our annual Hilltop Conference is just right around the corner, April 29-May 1. We will be celebrating the 80th birthday of Arlington Baptist University! Click Here for information and schedule of events.

ABU Commencement Exercises are May 11, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the J. Frank Norris Auditorium.
