My name is Chad Purdy and I am married to my lovely wife, Julie. We have two teenagers —Brooklyn (16) and Brayden (13). I was born and raised in West Portsmouth, Ohio where I joined the U.S. Air Force in 1992. After a couple duty stations, God orchestrated an assignment to Shepherd Air Force Base, where I was introduced to Arlington Baptist College in 2007. I finally started ABC’s online program in the fall of 2012 and I graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor in Bible.
I will be forever grateful for the online program at ABC. After retiring from the Air Force, I took a position at Calvary Baptist church in Ft. Walton Beach, FL in June of 2013. The online program allowed for me to continue my education during the transition from Texas to Florida without any problems.
I am the Children’s Ministry Director at Calvary Baptist and I am attending Liberty University’s online college. I am pursuing an M.A. in Human Services: Marriage and Family Counseling and should graduate in the spring of 2018. I am a firm believer that I would not be where I am today without the education I received from Arlington Baptist College. Every professor and support personnel, that I came in contact with, were outstanding and I count it a God given privilege to have attended and graduated from such a great institution.
